The hiking was a fun trip for most people. Some people were cold once they got to the top. It was nice going up there with everyone. The dogs definitely made the trip a lot more fun for everyone, even though one of the dogs was not ours.
There were definitely some cool sights to see. The coolest one I saw on this hike was the missile sight on top of one of the peaks. It definitely made me curious. There were a lot of prairie dogs squeaking in the brush of the hills, but they were hard to see cause they were hiding from us. Occasionally a p-dog would pop out to say hello. I’m sure everyone had fun because they were smiling and having fun. I definitely will remember the dogs.
The weather was cold and windy. The attitudes varied from “that was nothing” to “oh my gosh, I’m gonna die!” After the pictures on the top, we sat in cold damp moss and wrote about our surroundings. It was easy for some and not so easy for others. It all depended on where you sat. We wrote about the sights, smells, and the feelings we had towards the mountain.
There was so many different types of plants and other things to write about. I personally chose to write about a weird plant. It looked rubbery and fake, but it was actually a really soft plant. The writing was a great way to get us thinking about the nature and life around us. Would you ever stop to look at the nature and beauty around you? I usually wouldn’t, but I did and I was surprised.
