This is sky watch traffic reporting from Portage Glacier. This is, oh wait, is that a class in this insanely cloudy windy and rainy day? Yes it is. Wow! I'm telling you folks I've never seen anything this crazy before.
This class isn't even fazed by this horrible weather. They are hiking and very determined like the glacier is a prize. Oh it almost looks like, yes, it is: the trail is covered by water, and they're crossing it. This is something that is truly amazing. I'm glad I'm in this helicopter that's protecting me from the wind like a shell. Oh yeah this is Chase. See you all later.
And now this is RJ. . .
So yesterday, we went to Portage to go for a fun and wonderful hike, but instead we rode in a small school bus. The weather was pretty miserable, and the ride back to Anchorage was a wet and cold one. But I’m pretty sure everyone still had a blast, because we all got to see Byron Glacier and go on a pretty scenic trail to the gorgeous glacier. For me, even though the wind was blowing water darts at our face, but we all still had fun…I think.
Sunny here with some funny reports. Yesterday some of our students did some funny things, like getting trapped in a phone booth -- like Chase, Devin, Kyle. Also when we were going through the tunnel, it was crazy.
