The hike of Alyeska was legit. It took awhile to get to the top, but we managed to do it. Compared to other hikes, I'm thinking that this one was the most challenging. The weather made it that much easier because it was misty and kept us the right temperature. It was cool because whenever we looked up at the top we couldn't see anything because the fog was covering the lodge. This made it challenging for people because it seemed really high. Halfway up the mountain, you'd look behind and see awesome sights everywhere.
On the way up, Bre and Kelli found a new friend, "umbrella guy." It was sweet because he was really old and he was walking faster than anyone in our group. On the ride back, I guess Devin tinkled himself.
At last we are victorious. The greatest feeling of finally making it to the top after a long hike up the steep mountain, but it was worth it. When we were at the bottom of the ginormorous mountain, some people thought we weren’t going to make it, but most of us did make it. At the top everyone’s eyes got fed with wonder and excitement because of the unforgettable scene. Inside was the good feeling of the warmth and the thankful quench of thirst because water was available to everyone.
Soooooooo, thankfully we didn’t have to hike all the way back down the mountain, if we did I was sure someone was going to fall over and roll down to the mountain. After we packed up our belongings we headed over to the tram to go down to the bottom. I had already been on the tram before, but it was a good view to go down and see other people enjoy the ride who hadn’t been on the tram. All in all, this was an awesome trip and we made it back safely.
That was a righteous hike (which is a positive slant that translates into that almost killed me! not really, but it was tough) Everyone made it up, and Kyle and Scott are officially my heroes.
